Xbox Live: 1 vs 100 – Season 3 cancelled

It has been confirmed that 1 vs. 100 will not be coming back for a third season on Xbox Live, with the team instead focusing on ‘new projects’.

Microsoft have released a press release stating that despite an overwhelming beta response followed by two successful seasons, the Xbox Live version of 1 vs. 100 will not be returning in the foreseeable future. It’s a shame the game has been dropped as it offered gamers a chance to win real prizes by playing the virtual game show, plus with Avatar integration in Season 2 and the fact it broke a Guinness World Record* show it has been a tremendously positive application for Microsoft and Xbox Live users worldwide.

The press release mentions that the development team behind 1 vs. 100 will be ‘applying the technology’ on future projects, so here’s hoping that a replacement game or app is on its way soon!
