No more Aliens vs. Predator patch updates
In a forum announcement by SEGA’s community manager, Clumsyorchid has declared that there will no longer by any patches for the console versions of Aliens vs. Predator. Support for PC users was not mentioned, so presumably will contue to receive patches and new content.
The post itself, which was written in the official SEGA forums yesterday morning, is as follows;
I’ve just received a mail this AM regarding patches for the console versions of AVP and I regret to inform everyone that these have sadly been scrapped.
I had previously made a claim that these were coming and at the time, this was very much on the table. For the console community, I apologize, as I know there are many features and updates that you’d like to see. I’ll keep fighting internally for this to happen, but until I hear otherwise, there will not be a console patch for either Xbox or PS3.
This news comes despite SEGA recently releasing a second piece of DLC for AvP only a week ago. If you bought this game, and then went on to buy the downloadable content, how stung do you feel?
